Lexia Student Programs
This article is a notebook about the Districtwide use of Lexia as an academic tool. It is not meant to be comprehensive, but rather just a place we can store and update useful info about the application and our specific use thereof.

System requirements
Formal system requirements for the current year are linked above. What does that really mean for us?
To summarize, for academic year 2024-25, the critical details for our fleet are as follows:
- Our Windows fleet should be reliably capable for any of the Lexia tools, so long as the Chrome browser is up to date. This year's requirement is Chrome 120 or higher.
- Our Chromebook fleet will depend both on model and being up-to-date. This year's requirement is Chrome OS 120 or higher.
- Model 3100 and newer devices should be supported for any Lexia tool, if Chrome OS is up to date at latest version.
(See here for the notebook on updating Chrome OS on a Chromebook.)
- Model 3180 devices will not be able to run any of the Lexia tools since they cannot update Chrome OS beyond version 103.x.
- Model 3120 devices will not be able to run any of the Lexia tools since they cannot update Chrome OS beyond version 93.x.
- Our iPad fleet will also depend on model and being up-to-date. This year's requirement is iOS 15.
- Models that are restricted to iOS 12 (e.g. iPad Air first generation, iPad Mini second and third generation) will not be able to run any of the Lexia tools.
- Models that are restricted to iOS 15 (e.g. iPad Air second generation, iPad Mini fourth generation) are supported for Core5 Reading and PowerUp, but not for myLexia.
- Models that are restricted to iOS 16 or higher (including iPad 5th generation) should be supported for any of the Lexi tools, if at their latest possible version.
(See here for the notebook on updating iOS on your device.)
- Our Promethean IFP boards cannot run Lexia tools natively (using their onboard Chromium browsers) because Android devices are specifically not supported per the system requirements. (Prometheans run Android as an operating system.)
Getting to Lexia apps
We use the District's integration with Clever to get to Lexia apps; our Clever portal will list the Lexia app as a launchable link, and will provide credentials automatically when you launch it from the portal.
