Parent Canvas Account
Canvas supports parents being added as Observers to Canvas courses. To accomplish this a parent needs to create an account with Canvas.
Get a Pairing Code from Student
Step 1
Have your child login to their Canvas account at https://kpbsd.instructure.com/login/canvas.
Step 2
Once logged in, click on their user icon, then Settings.
Step 3
On the right side of the settings screen, click Pair with Observer
You will be presented with an observer code. Make a note of this code to be used when setting up your parent account.
Create a Canvas Parent Account
Step 1
Navigate to the account creation page here: https://kpbsd.instructure.com/login/canvas and click on the Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here For an Account link.
Step 2
Complete the form to create an account, and use the pairing code from the previous section.
