Connect a Personal Android Device to District Wireless
This article covers the basics of getting a personal Android device onto the most appropriate of the available District wireless networks.
All KPBSD staff and students have the ability to connect their personally owned devices to the KPBSD-PersonalDevices wireless network. Follow these steps to connect a personal Android device to that network.
Connecting to KPBSD-PersonalDevices
- Open the Settings app, select Connections, and then Wi-Fi.
- Select KPBSD-PersonalDevices from the list of available networks.
- Select PEAP as the EAP Method.
- Enter your E# or student number in the Identity field and then your password (same one used for district PCs and most district services).
- Select Don't Validate under the CA certificate option if present.
- Expand Advanced Settings and specify MSCHAPv2 for Phase 2 Authentication if not already set.
- Select Connect.
