Connect a Personal Android Device to District Wireless

This article covers the basics of getting a personal Android device onto the most appropriate of the available District wireless networks.

All KPBSD staff and students have the ability to connect their personally owned devices to the KPBSD-PersonalDevices wireless network. Follow these steps to connect a personal Android device to that network.

Connecting to KPBSD-PersonalDevices

Open the Settings app, select Connections, and then Wi-Fi.
Select KPBSD-PersonalDevices from the list of available networks.
Select PEAP as the EAP Method.
Enter your E# or student number in the Identity field and then your password (same one used for district PCs and most district services).
Select Don't Validate under the CA certificate option if present.
Expand Advanced Settings and specify MSCHAPv2 for Phase 2 Authentication if not already set.
Select Connect.
