Connect a Personal Apple iOS Device to District Wireless
This article covers the basics of getting a personal iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) onto the most appropriate of the available District wireless networks. For connecting a District iPad, see Connect a District iOS Device to District Wireless.
All KPBSD staff and students have the ability to connect their personally owned devices to the KPBSD-PersonalDevices wireless network. Follow these steps to connect a personal Apple iOS device (iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc.) to that network.
Connecting to KPBSD-PersonalDevices
- Open the Settings app and go to Wi-Fi.
- Select KPBSD-PersonalDevices from the list of available networks.
- Enter your E# or student number and password (same one used for district PCs and most district services) then tap Join.
- When prompted with the edge.kpbsd.k12.ak.us certificate, tap Trust to add it (it is normal for this to show as not trusted).
