Sun Java Web Start Has Stopped Working
Attempting to launch a Java-based application may crash with a general error indicating that Sun Java Web Start has encountered an error. In most cases, this can be resolved by emptying the Java Temporary Internet Files cache.
Solution
Step 1:
Begin typing control panel in the Start menu search box located at the bottom-left corner of the screen

Step 2:
Click the Control Panel option displayed in the Start menu

Step 3:
Type java in the control panel search box. Press Enter on the keyboard to perform the search.

Step 4:
Click on Java (32-bit)

Step 5:
In the Java Control Panel > General tab click the Settings... button located under the Temporary Internet Files section

Step 6:
In the Temporary Files Settings dialog box, click Delete Files...

Step 7:
Once the file deletion process completes, click OK, and close the Java control panel.
